After studying logistics and psychology, I came on the conclusion that Dhruv Rathee is using logical fallacies (or say, illogics), distorted facts and lies in his videos to confuse and misguide common people.
Before I started writing on Quora, I wasn’t even aware who is he. But some people on Quora told me that he has some squad which is censoring the voices on Quora by mass reporting; I don’t know reliability of claim.
I have been also warned not to write anything against him but I am doing it because Quora policies allows me to do it by staying BNBR.
In this answer, I ain’t personally attacking unlike him. Instead, my only focus is to make people aware how propaganda works and what logical fallacies he’s using to confuse the people.
This fallacy is used to create that claim is backed by authority and thus, it is false.
In his video of ex-member of BJP IT Cell, he claimed that person Vikas Pandey [who is my twitter friend, by the way] is member of BJP IT cell and hence, whatever Vikas is saying is wrong and part of propaganda.
Truth:-
- Amit Malviya is head of BJP IT cell but Vikas Pandey isn’t even member of BJP IT cell.
- Dhruv Rathee can’t counter the logical arguments and thus he is labeling anyone as BJP IT cell member.
- Anyway, Vikas had already filed complaint and civil defamation case of Rs. 15 lakh against him.

Mr. @ArvindKejriwal shared his video adding credibility to his claims. this led to lynch mob against me and my family on social media.

It is the logical fallacy in which arguer is attacked rather than the argument.
Dhruv Rathee is very good at Ad Hominem. If you have just encountered him once, he will call you bhakt or andh bhakt rather than encountering your good and logical arguments.
His youtube videos are full of personal attacks rather than providing logical counter.
Example is this tweet. He is calling Chetan Bhagat as Chetan Bhakt rather than encountering the arguments.

Another example is this… In this tweet, he isn’t providing calculation that how inflation was counted but he is calling the person as Andh Bhakt.

Kettle Logic is used for multiple inconsistent and irrelevant arguments to defend his position.
His arguments:-
- Cash circulation in 2016 was 17.97 Lakh Cr. but in 2018 it is 18.13 Lakh cr thus demonetization failed.
- It’s simple logic that as the GDP increases the cash circulation in the market is increased.
- That shows GDP has been increased and industry has no effect of cash ban but Dhruv Rathee hides this fact to prove himself right.
- Yogi govt is cancelling all criminal cases of BJP leaders thus making them run free.
- Not only BJP leaders, but all the politically affiliated cases were taken from all the leaders. He hid this fact to maintain his position.
I can even make the video of an hour explaining how he is manipulating truth if I had time and resources.
A claim which is technically true but has no meaning or relevance.
Like, He said that 55 million Indians pushed into poverty in 2017; this is truth but as per the 2011–12. He manipulated data.
This is the logical fallacy in which person is attributing the source which is not reliable.
First, He claimed that some people were saying that Nirav Modi’s files were in the IT building. But he didn’t declare that who were some people? Are they credible or not?
Secondly, he claimed that HAL is coming itself for defence. Actually, it was fake handle and he was quoting it.

I can simply burst all the lies and propaganda spread on Narendra Modi as time permits me to do so.
It’s okay to have bias like I am openly saying I am leaned towards centre-right and have my bias; if you want to believe then you can otherwise you can’t. But if you’re calling yourself as centrist and neutral then people will have more expectations from you.
Even I criticise Narendra Modi for some wrong decisions and praise Arvind Kejriwal too. I’m more neutral than he.
We are still supporting PM Modi because exposes of Dhruv Rathee are not even exposes but they are consisted of
- Propaganda
- Half truth
- Distorted facts
- Lies
If he will bring something informative vlogs having neutral content means praise as well criticism then people will more open to believe him; but I’m sure he will not do this.
As a person who is studying psychology, I can say He’s famous due to people who have confirmation bais. Means if someone is hating Modi then s/he will have more reasons to hate Modi just because of his videos, even the reasons are false.
PS:- Please don’t say that BJP is doing this, BJP is doing that. The question is different and stay on it. Don’t use Two wrongs make a right fallacy here.
